Re: problem to opeb dtadvfs

The log messages look like output that would be in
/usr/var/opt/dtadvfs/advfs_gui.log, not what would be in
/usr/var/opt/advfsd/logs/advfsd.

specifying the hostname with domainname extension in /var/opt/advfsd/socket/hosts.allow

but this is all within the documentation - which is on the documentation cd-rom or in the internet.

Re: problem to opeb dtadvfs

Hi Ralf

i tried to check this direcotry but it is doent exist , i thing that it mean that i dont have adv. file system manager ?

i run the command : setld -i | grep -i advfs

and got this answer :
OSFADVFS520 installed AdvFS Commands (System Administration)
OSFADVFSBIN520 installed AdvFS Kernel Modules (Kernel Build Environment)
OSFADVFSBINOBJECT520 not installed AdvFS Kernel Objects (Kernel Software Development)
OSFADVFSDAEMON520 installed AdvFS Daemon (System Administration)
OSFPAT00084400520 installed Patch: AdvFS cannot use volumes greater than 2Tb(Filesystem Patches)
OSFXADVFS520 installed AdvFS Graphical User Interface (System Administration)

it means that it is not install , correct ?

Re: problem to opeb dtadvfs

no the kits are marked with "installed", only kernel development is not installed.

Please read the documentation and followup the necessary setup steps. If the directory doesn't exists, create it. Man-page will also contain the name of the directory and setup files which are necessary (so doublecheck).
