proliant ML 380 G5 and Red hat 5

I have a proliant server 380 G5 installing with red hat 5. The server is running since 2 months, but it's seems that the kernel is corrupted and the server doesn't boot from the HD.
i would like to know if there is a procedure to rebuild the kernel from the media kit or floppy... and how can i do that?
