Hi,

Since i can move /, /stand and other os lvs like opt var etc. using pvmove command .

can anyone explain how pvmove handles the open lvs. that are having sessions running onto them.

Re: pvmove

Hi:

'pvmove' could be called a poor-man's mirror. It works analagously to the LVM 'lvextend -m' does. The LVM software locks and moves an extent at a time. Do not interrupt and/or take care not to have a 'pvmove' killed lest you end up with a stale extent in your logical volume (and no "mirror").

Regards!

Re: pvmove

Yep, is allways a good idea to launch pvmove in the gsp/mp console!
