qdiks cannot come online automatically

For node-1
[root@PDC-PIC-PL-01 ~]# clustat
Cluster Status for PDC-PIC-CL @ Fri Sep 14 14:21:52 2012
Member Status: Quorate

 Member Name                                      ID   Status
 ------ ----                                      ---- ------
 PDC-PIC-PL-01                                        1 Online, Local
 PDC-PIC-PL-02                                        2 Online
 /dev/block/253:9                                     0 Online, Quorum Disk

For Node-2
[root@PDC-PIC-PL-02 ~]# clustat
Cluster Status for PDC-PIC-CL @ Fri Sep 14 14:32:18 2012
Member Status: Quorate

 Member Name                                  ID   Status
 ------ ----                                  ---- ------
 PDC-PIC-PL-01                                    1 Online
 PDC-PIC-PL-02                                    2 Online, Local

While starting cman:

[root@PDC-PIC-PL-02 ~]# service cman status
qdiskd is stopped

and my /var/log/messages shows:

Sep 14 14:22:05 PDC-PIC-PL-02 qdiskd[17722]: Unable to determine qdiskd votes automatically
Sep 14 14:22:05 PDC-PIC-PL-02 qdiskd[17722]: Configuration failed

Can you help me how to make qdisk online?

Thanks!

Hello Advisor,

is your qdiskd running?

what entries do you have from clurgmgrd, qdiskd and cman in messages and other logfiles of the cluster?

Do you defint

votes="1" in your cluster.conf for each node AND the quorum disk?

Bye

Re: qdiks cannot come online automatically

Hi,

Is this a new cluster setup?

Could you please check if you have set all the Quorum-Disk Parameters correctly? Please check the below point:

"The minimum score for a node to be considered "alive". If omitted or set to 0, the default function, floor((n+1)/2), is used, where n is the sum of the heuristics scores. The Minimum Score value must never exceed the sum of the heuristic scores; otherwise, the quorum disk cannot be available."
