question about vmunix

Hi,

One of the hpux server running hpux 11.23 root drive went bad - do mirror.we tried to install the os from media ...and then did a restore on the disk so that we get verything as back.now..do we have to rebuild the kernel(system and vmunix got restored from backup) using mkkerneleven though we have the vmunix restored from backup

NO you do not need to rebuild the kernel.
Just try boot the server after restoration.

If you face some other issue let us know.

No need to do all this.
Once you restore backup it means your system will now configured.

I think you are asking about the additional patches and application installed after this kernel was built. If so, then please describ the restore procedure and age of the restore image.
