"snapshot" function from NA
Anyone knows any SW from 3rd party or shareware which can perform the same function as NA's snapshot?
Thanks!!

Re: "snapshot" function from NA
don't know whats NA but for snapshoting X-Windows you can use xv.
This tool can grab any window from your X display. You can get it here:

Re: "snapshot" function from NA
Let me clarify the NA: stands for Network Appliance, they ship the system box which can perform the NFS server function only.

Re: "snapshot" function from NA
You just need to change /etc/services, /etc/inetd.conf and then change what subsystems are started by removing links in the /sbin/rcX.d directory that is your runlevel.

Re: "snapshot" function from NA
hope now to know what you mean:
Doing an snapshot of a filesystem ?
If so you have to purchase OnLineJFS product from HP (Advanced VxFS) (B3928AA for HP-UX 10.20, B3929BA for HP-UX 11.00)
It's an extension for the journaled filesystem.
With this SW you can make a snapshot(copy) of a running filesystem for backup purposes.
