Re: reboot problem

I'm not sure what's wrong. It seems when you login, it shuts down.
The system is ready.
GenericSysName [HP Release B.11.11] (see /etc/issue)

Press Q/q to quit, Enter to continue:
Console Login: May 20 15:00:06 dldptest01 syslogd: bind: Address already in use

SHUTDOWN PROGRAM

It seems you should have tried logging on here.
Then during the shutdown, there were more login prompts:
Killing user processes .......................................
GenericSysName [HP Release B.11.11] (see /etc/issue)
Console Login:
GenericSysName [HP Release B.11.11] (see /etc/issue)
Console Login: OK

(Instead of typing "OK" above, you should have logged in.)

Do you have a serial console or graphics?

Have you tried booting in single user mode?
Is there something in your profile that immediately will shutdown the system?

Re: reboot problem

Ehsan, no mirroring is there in this system, in fact it is a test server and in total i have two disks in the system, also tell me how to boot it in single user mode and how does help to troubleshoot the problem ..

thanks
