remove VxVM from 11.11

I have a task to remove BaseVxVM from a 11.11 system. Is this possible ?

With swremove, or while installing the OS, if i try to remove or un-select BaseVxVM, it throws bellow error.


WARNING: Software selection: "Base-VxVM" cannot be deselected because either other software that is selected has a dependency on it or it is always to be loaded.

If it says, other software is dependent on VxVM then you cannot remove it.

If you are using VxVM as the volume manager for your boot disks or any other disks, you can not remove it, you have to convert your disks to LVM before you can remove VxVM. If your boot disks use it, you need to implement an ignite recovery process to reinstall the OS before you can even touch VxVM with swremove.
