remove a PV

# strings /etc/lvmtab
/dev/vg00
/dev/disk/disk6_p2

I would like to remove disk6_p2 from VG00

# pvremove /dev/rdsk/c3t6d0
pvremove: Physical Volume "/dev/rdsk/c3t6d0" contains no LVM information

# dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/rdsk/c3t6d0 bs=256k count=100
100+0 records in
100+0 records out


it dosen't work

If this disk contains your VG00 you cannot remove it, why do you want to do this???

Also I see some strange errorrs:-

# vgscan

Use the vgimport command to complete the process.

What is strange?



Note:

The "disk" in your vg00 is disk6_p2 - not disk6 !!!
