hi,

may i know what is root disk encapsulation feature and is it supported on HP-UX ?

No. From the Veritas Volume Manager Administaration guide:

Amit,

This document should explain to you what is root disk encapsulation, is the term given if you are using vxvm in hp-ux to initialized a disk.

Amit,

The step by step procedures are all documented in the VxVM Documentation at:

On HP-UX, the term is not encapsulation but "rootability"... And HP-UX has the best seamless integration amongst the UNICES. It's been integrated and rootability supported since Sep. 2002.
