rp3440 IO paths

I am having difficulties in finding the IO path numbering for the 4 IO slots on the rp3440 system. At least I know the paths but can not see which slot corresponds to which address. I know If I was physically close to them I would be able to check them out, but unfortunately this is not practical. Can any one help?

Re: rp3440 IO paths

John,
stm may give you a better idea how things hang together. But if you are remote to the box, why do you want to see which slot corresponds to which aadress?
The only place I found something was:
www.hp.com/go/rp3440

Re: rp3440 IO paths

There should be a stamp/label on the back of the server that you can look at and take some notes concerning the paths.

Then:

ioscan -fnC ext_bus

That should get you output that should agree with where you see cards on the back of the box.

also found the Operations manual for the machine at:

Chapter 2 briefly goes into cards.

Re: rp3440 IO paths

John,

Not sure if it functions in an rp3440, but usually 'rad -q' will let you match slots to HW paths...
