rpcbind fails with exit 1 after update-ux from 11.23 to 11.31
Hi
I have just tried update-ux on an 11.23. It went fairly smooth, until the server rebooted. It comes up. Is 11.31, but there is also failures on startup. One of the being about rpcbind. It exits with 1, but nothing in the debug output can give any hints as to why.

Re: rpcbind fails with exit 1 after update-ux from 11.23 to 11.31
Shalom,
This is yet another reason why the veteran admins here prefer cold install.
NFS is v3 in 11.23 and v.4 in 11.31.
This problem may resolved resolved by NFS patches to 11.31. I don't think its possible to reinstall NFS.
Do check the settings on the server side, there may be conflict there.
swverify \*
Not much help I know, but if cold install of 11.31 is possible, I would do so. This is probably not the first thing you will find.
