rpcinfo: can't contact portmapper: RPC: Remote system error - Permission denied

Hello Experts,

Can you help me to resolve my below problem?

ServerA = HPUX 11.11
ServerB = HPUX 11.11

serverA:/root# rpcinfo -p --> Works with root user.
serverA:/home/appuser# rpcinfo -p --> Works with appuser.

serverB:/root# rpcinfo -p --> Works with root user.
serverB:/home/appuser# rpcinfo -p --> Doesn't Works with appuser.

serverB:/root# cat /etc/rc.config.d/nfsconf |grep -v ^#
NFS_CLIENT=1
NFS_SERVER=1
NUM_NFSD=16
NUM_NFSIOD=16
PCNFS_SERVER=0
LOCKD_OPTIONS=""
STATD_OPTIONS=""
MOUNTD_OPTIONS=""
AUTOMOUNT=1
AUTO_MASTER="/etc/auto_master"
AUTO_OPTIONS="-f $AUTO_MASTER"
START_MOUNTD=1
AUTOFS=1

My appuser need to run rpcinfo -p command, Appuser is getting below message:

appuser@serverB:/home/appuser> rpcinfo -p
rpcinfo: can't contact portmapper: RPC: Remote system error - Permission denied

Problem is solved, Small permission issues.

 

appuser@serverB:[/home/appuser]> ll /dev/tcp
crw-rw-r-- 1 root root 72 0x000015 Jan 24 15:08 /dev/tcp

appuser@serverA:[/etc]> ll /dev/tcp
crw-rw-rw- 1 root root 72 0x000015 Nov 10 13:02 /dev/tcp
