Re: samba problem

This could also be a client problem,
when the client shuts down the network adapter to save power.

You can use Device Manager to change the power management settings for a network adapter. To disable this setting in Device Manager, expand Network Adapters, right-click the adapter, click Properties, click the Power Management tab, and then clear the Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power check box.

Re: samba problem

sorry, it seams like not a client problem
as this client can connect to Windows NFS share without any disconnection.

Thanks

Re: samba problem

Hi,

What's the network infrastructure between the client and the server ? I'll take a guess that there's something (firewall or router) that's disconnecting idle TCP sessions.

Cheers,

Rob
