same terminal

Hello All,

When I check the who -u command it's showing same terminal.

appchg pts/te 13:57 34512
appctl pts/te 13:27 5972
appmgr pts/te 01:43 33914

please help

What HP-UX version are you using?
You probably have a corrupted /etc/utmp* file that has stale entries.
What do these show:
ll /dev/pts/te
ps -f -p34412 -p5972 -p33914

The first should show the current owner. The second which PIDs are still there.
