sar execute problem
Hi,
when I run sar 1 5 from root it gives messages like sh:/usr/lbin/sa/sadc :execute permission denied.
permission of sadc file is -rwxr-xr-x.
what could be the problem.

Hi SRL,
/usr/lbin/sa/sadc is an executable and is the data collector. It is called by the script /usr/lbin/sa/sa1.
As I see the execute bit is set for all... check for the permissions of /usr/lbin/sa/sa1.
Other solution is update SAR patches...
# what /usr/lib/libc.2
and see the patch version is PHCO_22314
Also check for the SAR cumulative patches from ITRC patch depot depending on your OS version.
