how to scan hardware under tru64 (like ioscan under HP-UX)

Hi,

I presume you're working with Tru64 UNIX v5.x

There you have the hwmgr commands.

hwmgr scan scsi
this scans all scsi busses and san connected fabrics for devices, but it doesn't show anything

hwmgr view device
hwmgr show scsi
These commands show the disks/tapes seen by your system

hwmgr view hierarchy
shows the hardware configuration of your system

But you better have a look in the documentation for all possibilities of the hwmgr command

Hi,

If it is Tru64 v4.0, then use these commands:

scu scan edt
scu show edt

(but do not use these command under Tru64 v5.x)
