scsimgr global attribute num_kthreads

We have noticed that when we install EMC Powerpath software the value of num_kthreeads increases. The attribute is list as unchangable. If we uninstall PP is stays at the increased value. Can someone tell me how this value is generated and what event might cause the system to increase it?
comand to display is
scsimgr get_attr current
Thanks

Re: scsimgr global attribute num_kthreads

Shalom,

kmtune -l | grep kthreads
11.11

kctune -l | grep kthreads
11.23 and 11.31

If its a kernel value, that is where you can see it and if you want change it.

Re: scsimgr global attribute num_kthreads

this paramter appears to be different that kthreads.. the scsimgr attribute value I've observed has been between 4 and 16 whereas the ktune paramter kthreads is generally a MUCH larger number.... This something I've only seen in 11.31
