sendmail.cf
hi ...
i'm trying to send messages ..the server is:
OSF1 server3 V4.0 1229 alpha
the output is:
server3:root:> /usr/sbin/sendmail -v dm@patito.com.mx
PRUEBA
.
WARNING: local host name (server3) is not qualified; fix $j in config file
what do i have to solve here?
why the messages is saying "local host name (server3)" ???
is there a file similar to nsswitch.conf like HP-UX??
Please let me know.
thanks.

Re: sendmail.cf
You can run mailsetup to configure sendmail. In this case, probably the hostname is not a FQDN. So you have to modify the sendmail.cf file to look like this:
# Dj${ClusterAlias}.$N
Djhostname.domain.com
# Dj${ClusterAlias}.$N
Djhostname.domain.com
Por que hacerlo dificil si es posible hacerlo facil? - Why do it the hard way, when you can do it the easy way?
