Re: sendmail domains
This tells sendmail that your server is also known by this name.

Re: sendmail domains
I use the /etc/mail/relay file for allowing 'other' machines and/or domains to use my Sendmail.
The entries include the following:
hostname.domain.com RELAY
Eric Allman also put together a useful page regarding relaying. You can find it at:
http://www.sendmail.org/tips/relaying.html
Virtual Hosting:
http://www.sendmail.org/virtual-hosting.html
and the FAQ is also available at
http://www.sendmail.org/faq/
I am sure that there is Plenty of info here for you. Btw, you don't have to work with the Configuration Macros if you dont want to, that's just another method for accomplishing the same effect.
Have a Great Day!

Re: sendmail domains
Anti-Spam rules can also cause your error. Make sure that you also allow this domain to relay through the anti spam section of sendmail 8.9 and higher
