share a file system over san

hi all,
we have EVA2000 set , one of the serveres connected to this EVA san switches has a file system which is its local file system (not in the EVA storage)....
I want to share this file system to other servers using SAN
is it possible ? if it is how ?

Re: share a file system over san

Unless you have NFS or some type of cluster filesystem you would have synchronization problems.

Re: share a file system over san

NFS..

IF the filesystem was on SAN disks that could be seen by other systems the HPUX Cluster File system would work. It allows multiple systems in a cluster to share the same mount point with concurrent reads and writes.

CFS is built ontop of ServiceGuard and Cluster VxVM and is supported with HPUX 11.23 and 11.31

Re: share a file system over san

the mentioned file system is not a part of SAN disks , it actually is one of the connected servers local file system (part of its own disks)

Re: share a file system over san

It is not possible.

Solution :- Migrate the filesystem from Local Disk to SAN disk and using Active/Active cluster solutions you can share it in RW mode among multiple servers

FYI ... There is no EVA2000 (As per my knowledge).
