shl_load/dlopen failed with err no. 2
Hi there,
Just updated FC-TACHYON driver on two HP 11i v3 PA servers (A and B) with a little difference - on one of them I removed the old version first (A). Now I have the following error messages in A syslog:
Dec 17 17:06:06 A syslog: Mon Dec 17 17:06:06 2012 PID = 11587 Line = "com.hp.fcms32 /usr/lib/libhbaapihp.sl" HP SNIA Common - HBA_LoadLibrary: shl_load/dlopen failed with err no. 2
Dec 17 17:37:48 A syslog: Mon Dec 17 17:37:48 2012 PID = 12886 Line = "com.hp.fcms32 /usr/lib/libhbaapihp.sl" HP SNIA Common - HBA_LoadLibrary: shl_load/dlopen failed with err no. 2
Dec 17 18:37:55 A syslog: Mon Dec 17 18:37:55 2012 PID = 14881 Line = "com.hp.fcms32 /usr/lib/libhbaapihp.sl" HP SNIA Common - HBA_LoadLibrary: shl_load/dlopen failed with err no. 2
Dec 17 19:38:00 A syslog: Mon Dec 17 19:38:00 2012 PID = 16789 Line = "com.hp.fcms32 /usr/lib/libhbaapihp.sl" HP SNIA Common - HBA_LoadLibrary: shl_load/dlopen failed with err no. 2
Release notes says nothing about such behavior, but FC-COMMON 0903 has following know problem:
4. 1 FC-COMMON
∙ Library load fail
On a system where a FCoC type HBA does not exist, the SNIA library reports the following
error message in the syslog.log file:
com.hp.fcoc64 /usr/lib/hpux64/libhbaapifcoc.so HP SNIA Common -
HBA_LoadLibrary: shl_load/dlopen failed with err no. 0
Severity: med
Corrective action: Modify the /etc/hba.conf file to comment out each of the following two
lines:
◦ # com.hp.fcoc32 /usr/lib/hpux32/libhbaapifcoc.so
◦ # com.hp.fcoc64 /usr/lib/hpux64/libhbaapifcoc.so
This modification prevents the SNIA library from loading these libraries.
Wonder whether this could be the case. What if system skipped to generic driver when I removed the old one, but didn't shifted to a new one after an update? Any comments or help would be greatly appreciated
Thanks in advance
