single-logon
I have several linux servers , there are many users in each these server , many users have login ID in different servers , so I would like to use single authentication , can advise what is the best tool ( easy to setup / maintenance & stable ) for single-logon , is it openldap ? is it compatible with windows ( if it is ok , I also want to integrate it with my windows server ) ?

Re: single-logon
You are correct, LDAP is the way to go. I consider that Fedora/Red Hat Directory server is the best directory that you can use.
>>> is it compatible with windows
Yes, you can say that, you can enable windows to authenticate via LDAP if you create a SAMBA PDC+LDAP.
You can also replicate windows information in an Active Directory Server to Fedora Directory Server.

Por que hacerlo dificil si es posible hacerlo facil? - Why do it the hard way, when you can do it the easy way?

Re: single-logon
Hello,
there are two additional ways:
- kerberos client
- winbind and samba
Both possibilities will allow you to authenticate users directly to a Microsoft Active Directory.
Hope this helps.
Best regards,
Patrick
