Re: smh/webm/ems ?
Thank You Suremdar, but I have been down that road many times and just keep getting spun off in different directions ? I have two identical systems and one is showing all fields but the other is not:
HPUX 11.31 SMHweb A.3.2.2
Problem Description:There a missing options in smh and I can't seem to recover them.
HP-UX System Management Homepage (Text User Interface)

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
a - Auditing and Security
e - Resource Management
g - Display
n - Networking and Communications
o - View samlOg
p - Printers and Plotters
s - Software Management
u - Accounts for Users and Groups
I checked SysMgmtMin -> B.11.31.1009 Minimum Software Deployment Tools and there appear to be several parts missing when compared to other systesm.
Products:SysMgmtMin 0 of 6 selected
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Name Revision Information
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
..(go up)
EMS-Config -> A.04.20.31.06 EMS Config
EMS-Core -> A.04.20.31.06 EMS Core Product
Judy-lib -> B.11.31.04.18 Judy Library and Related files
NParProvider -> B.31.02.01 nPartition Provider
SW-DIST -> B.11.31.1009. HP-UX Software Distributor
iCOD -> B.11.31.10.00 Instant Capacity
How do I fix it?
Trouble Shooting:I tried downloading the SysMgmnMin Package from the website but I could not find it.
Tried to find it on the DVD and was again unable to locate the package.
Tried swconfig -x reconfigure=true SysMgmtMin and it runs but the options are still missing.
I also reinstalled these packages without any effect.
SysMgmtBASE_B.00.02.04.09_HP-UX_B.11.31_IA_PA.depot
SysMgmtPlus_A.06.00.04.01_HP-UX_B.11.31_IA_PA.depot
SysMgmtWeb_A.3.2.2_HP-UX_B.11.31_IA_PA.depot
WBEMSvcs_A.02.09.10_HP-UX_B.11.31_IA_PA.depot
WBEMMgmtBundle_C.02.01.depot
any trobleshooting help appreciated. or where can I get latest download of sysmgmtmin ?

Re: smh/webm/ems ?
Hi,
I understand from many documents, the Minimum Software Deployment Tool (sysmgmtmin) is part of HPUX Core Media.So we need to get this from Latest HPUX 11i v3 Media.
As, I understand from Both the system outputs, The First system should be having all the application loaded, hence it is showing the all the application available in that system in SMH.
Could you please confirm , is other system also loaded with same applications?(which are available in first one)
HTH,
Surendar

Re: smh/webm/ems ?
Yes Hi and thank you Surendar,
I beleive that my script to find diff on both machines was problematic and I missed the :
of PeriphDevWeb, both the SMH GUI and TUI files. ( a plugin) ?? these "plugins" and such can be very complex as to what is needed and with what bundle,then seperately loaded products and all.
as I understand yes you are correct sysmgmtmin part of core OS DVD's and not downloadable through web?
but cu is stating that he has re-installed sysmgmtmin sevearl times to no avail.
but I think he may have to find the periphDevWeb pproduct on DVD and install seperately ?
does this sound logical?
Thank You.

SolutionThe current WBEM, SMH, EMS and SFM situation can best be described as a mess. There are dozens of indiviual packages that need to be installed to make things work. I would start by installing the latest diagnostics mega-bundle and the latest SMH package:
https://h20392.www2.hp.com/portal/swdepot/displayProductInfo.do?productNumber=WBEMMgmtBundle
and
https://h20392.www2.hp.com/portal/swdepot/displayProductInfo.do?productNumber=SysMgmtWeb
Then run the test programs:
smhassist
webmassist
Fix any problems reported by the assist programs.
Then check for patch problems:
swlist -l fileset -a state | grep -v configured | grep -v ^#
If you get anything from swlist, run check_patches

Re: smh/webm/ems ?
Hello and thank you, yes we can spend alot of time sorting these documents. but what I have found as you mentioned that it's best to start with installing the megabundle the swverify everything was loaded successfully. then look into products / patches.
