software copied in caps charecter

Hi,

We are in the process of installing oracle 10g to one of our HPUX 11.11 machine.

I copied all the installation software from the cd's to the server and now my application team informs that the software was copied with caps characters and it is unusable.

How can that happen ? Should i've to check change any locale settings on the server , if so what needs to be done ?

Thanks in advance.

Siva

Re: software copied in caps charecter

Looks like you mounted oracle DVD with default options and hence problems.
mount it with following options and then copy it.

mount -o cdcase,rrip /dev/dsk/cxtxdx /cdrom
There is no substitute to HARDWORK

Re: software copied in caps charecter

Hi,

Thats correct i just mounted the oracle DVD with

mount /dev/XXXXXX /cdrom.

I'll try with the options specified you .

But just wanted to know is these options specific to mounting a DVD ?

Thanks,
Siva
