sudo access problems with login

I have added a new user to my sudoers file, just like the other ones that are already in there and when he goes to do a sudo -i he gets this. Does any one have any ideas? this is on hpux ver 11vi3.

/home/XXXXX# sudo -i XXXXX

You have mail.

sh: XXXXX:  not found.

logout

thanks

Re: sudo access problems with login

I assume the XXXX is referencing a command that is being attempted to run?  Does it matter what the command is?

The -i option engages the target user (root) .profile, so perhaps something in there is not setting up the path correctly.  What if you try the command using absolute pathing?
