Hi Masters,
I have an HP 9000/892 box with 11.00 installed in it. I am getting frequent errors in the syslog, which states as follows :-
sudo: patrol : pam_authenticate: Conversation failure ; TTY=unknown ; PWD=/usr/localcw/opt/patrol ; USER=root ; COMMAND=/opt/perf/bin/mwa stop
Can anyone put some lights on it..what is it about.
Thanks
Vishu

Solution
Hi,
Reading this issue, for me it sound like a authentification error when you do sudo patrol to root to do a command.
So, it is just a suggestion but perhaps you could update sudo. I don't know which version of sudo you have. Perhaps a new one patch some issue like pam_authenticate.
Second suggestion, is to look at pam/login patch. For me if you have a good sudoers file, you should not have this error.
Hope it helps
