swinstall hangs for 2 hrs - pagezerod top CPU gobbler

Hi,



I just loaded a bunch of App Software for 11.31 off the DVD onto an rx2800 system with swinstall which appears hung for a while now ( 2+ hrs) on



Target:

Percent Complete: 100%

Kbytes Installed : 1446165 of 1446165

Time Left (minutes): 0

Loading Software : UPS-Meter,r=8.15



all I see are the "LogFile" and "Help" options and 'top' show 'pagezerod' process is at the top of the run queue and appears to be accumulating quite a bit of CPU time (at least 1 core anyway )

Should I just use kill -9 to bail out here

How much RAM memory do you have?

I had 32 GB of RAM and about 25 of it was free.

Since my system doesn't have tusc on it I could not trace swinstall to see what the heck was goin on

I opted to kill-9 it from another shell and then try to recover from there or re-run adn check logs
