A year ago we purcahsed 2 remanufactured Servers from HP. One was installed at our D.R. location. When it was installed it was planned to backup two of our servers that run HP-UX 11.23, and when it was installed it looked to be exactly that. Because this is DR this system hardly is used, and I have only upgraded patches once.
The other Server was supposed to be installed here, but because of power limitations it was just recently turned on. Today I did a swlist on the server here and noticed that the Operating system is 11.11. I decided to double check and swlist the other server off site. and most of it says 11.23, but some of it says 11.11. Can anyone suggest how I should proceed to fix? thanks in advance

SolutionOnly the BUNDLE B.11.11 Patch Bundle
seems to be 11.11
Am not sure - but was the server update from 11.11 to 11.23 , instead of a fresh installation ?
You could look using
swlist -l bundle -a install_date
when each bundle was installed and may be get a clue as well.

Re: swlist - 11.11 or 11.23
I was sure we ordered 11.23 back then, but our support agreement says otherwise. I am going to have to dig through and find the original order and see what happened. thanks again, I will assign points soon

Re: swlist - 11.11 or 11.23
No.
It seems that the OS installation was done on 26-Jan-2007 , then
J4189-11001C
B2491BA
B3693AA
B3929DA
bundles were installed on 29-Mar-2007
and BUNDLE
FEATURE11i
HWEnable11i
QPKAPPS
QPKBASE
were installed on 12-Dec-2007
You can check which patches were installed as part of the Bundle using
swlist -l fileset BUNDLE

Re: swlist - 11.11 or 11.23
The only 11.11 labeled item I see in your original attachment is "BUNDLE". You could examine its contents with:
# swlist -l fileset BUNDLE
Your server looks like an 11.23 one is all respects. Do;
# uname -a

Re: swlist - 11.11 or 11.23
The contents of the bundle, PHSS_37201, are for 11.23.
Patch Name: PHSS_37201
Patch Description: s700_800 11.23 linker + fdp cumulative patch
At this point, it appears that this can be chalked up to someones mistake during bundle creation since it is NOT really an 11.11 patch in that bundle.

Re: swlist - 11.11 or 11.23
My next step is to go back and research what we actually purchased, because both my SAID says 11.11, but one server has 11.23 and the other one has 11.11. I would prefer on hope that we had purchased 11.23.

If you purchased a support contract (which I would assume you did) then you are entitled to free upgrades. Simply order them from SUM:
