Solution
Do you have a /stand filesystem?
What is the result of 'll /stand'?
The easiest way to gen a kernel is via SAM.
Go into SAM
Go to Kernel Configuration
Select one of the options -- like "Configurable Parameters"
Go to the ACTIONS menu an select "Create a New Kernel"
This will want to reboot your system.
However, if you have a recent system backup, you should be able to restore the kernel, or the entire contents of /stand, if necessary.

Re: system running no vmunix 10.20
hi
If you are having the system bakup you can restore it from that.
Otherwise as patrick mentioned, you can create it from your running machine.
