to much messages regarding snmp in messages

Hi,

i'm working on a redhat 5.4 x86_64 and i have two questions.

The first:
I saw that the snmp logging is too much verbose in /var/log/messages.
So i tried to modify the script /etc/init.d/snmpd.
the old version: OPTIONS="-Lsd -Lf /dev/null -p /var/run/snmpd.pid -a"
new version: OPTIONS="-LS 0-4 d -Lf /dev/null -p /var/run/snmpd.pid -a"
is it correct?

The second:
when i start the snmpd daemon i read this error in /var/log/messages: snmpd[24767]: netsnmp_assert !"registration != duplicate" failed agent_registry.c:536 netsnmp_subtree_load()

i found this bug reported in the bugs databese of redhat; it seems to regards hp agents.

https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=629770

the solution posted in comment 2 is: comment the line "dlmod cmaX /usr/lib/libcmaX.so" in the snmpd.conf file.

What is dlmod? and what's happen if i comment that line?

Best Regards,
