two identical disk in different VGs

for example, I have disk0 from XP on vg01, and then I shadowimage disk1 from disk0, can I vgexport -m vg01 and them vgimport the map to create vg02 to use disk1 for vg02? another question, how can I use vgexport and vgimport to rename a VG?

you need to use vgchgid, then vgimport.

Yes,

# vgexport -p -m vg01.map vg01
# vgchgid disk1

vgchgid - modify the Volume Group ID (VGID) on a given set of physical devices.

# mkdir /dev/vg02
# mknod /dev/vg02/group 64 0xnn0000
# vgimport -m vg01.map /dev/vg02 disk1
# ll /dev/vg02
