umount -a

dear gurus,

I have accidentally executed umount -a instead of mount -a command. Will mount -a command will mount all again the unmounted made by umount -a?

Thanks! :-(

Yup,

all the mounted file system on /etc/fstab will be mounted again with 'mount -a'

Adi.

Re: umount -a

Pando,

Don't worry, even if you used "umount -a" instead
of mount, this will NOT unmount file systems that
are currently in use and unmount only those that
are not in use. Run "mount -a" and pretend the
accident never happened :-)
