i am unable to take backup through SAM,
erro:
Starting interactive backup...
br_backup: Invoking fbackup. See /var/sam/log/br_log for details.
fbackup(1421): no history is available for graph file /var/sam/graphTCAa00394 (below level 0)
fbackup(1004): session begins on Thu Dec 11 20:22:48 2008
fbackup(3038): output file /dev/rmt/c2t3d0BEST is not a valid device file for backup
fbackup(3019): would you like to enter a new output file?

may be your point the wrong tape device file
ioscan -fnC tape --> output needed to make suggestion
See /var/sam/log/br_log for details --> can also post this information

SolutionProblem could be NO_HW DEVICE found
# insf -e (install device files)
# ioscan -fnC tape (ioscan again the tape)

what do you specfiy your tape path for make_tape_recovery ..?
is it /dev/rmt/0mn or /dev/rmt/1mn ..?
