upgradation of MC servicegaurd to 11.16

Hi all,

I am having 2 node cluster .Config is RP7410/hp-ux/11.11/SG 11.14.
Now I planned to upgrade the serviceguard version. Pls advice & provide me a helpfull documents related to rolling upgrades.

Shalom,

The only kind of upgrade that serviceguard may not give full support to is a rolling upgrade of serviceguard itself.

There are debates both ways on this issue.

But a good plan is to upgrade one node, and see if it will join the cluster. If yes, you can fail everything over and upgrade the second node. If hot, you will need to halt the cluster on the running node, make sure all processes are shut down and then start the cluster running only on the newly upgraded node.

Once the cluster is running on the first upgraded node, the second node can be upgraded at your leisure, as in any other rolling upgrade.
