I am using HP-UX v2 in most of the servers. I need to upgrade to V3. Kindly provide me the documents or steps to upgrade.

The recommended method is to cold install 11.31 and migrate your applications to it.

Backup or install?
You need to make sure you have backup of all of the non-OS files on your system. That could be separate for Oracle and your other files with DP.
You need to make sure you have licenses for your 11.31 versions of all the software you need.Then you do your cold install from the media. Then restore from your backups, excluding the OS and system files.
