I login to HP Unix on server rp3440 , using GoGlobal software, Using an administrator user through the GUI,
and through this connection i open a session unix.
I've been asked about the possibility of being not able to open the unix terminal through this GUI connection ... in to different ways:
1- Not even being able to open the Unix session
2- Being asked about a password different than the login password through the GUI.
Is any of these two options are possible???

SolutionAny user configured locally on the UNIX server can bypass the GoGlobal software. That is normally a simple /etc/nsswitch.conf change.
It does depend on whether this software runs as a daemon on every server.
1 and 2 are possible, depending on how the global sign in software is configured.

You would have to ask "GoGlobal" about that. Check the documentation for this product.

Re: use another Password for Terminal session
my situation is that ... i have upgraded the security level to base 2 and after that when i open the unix terminal it asks me for a password.
when i press "enter" one time it can login to the current user.
I have checked the .profile file and then i found that it contains nothing related to that password
i have modified the file to get into a condition "if" to enter a password or else to go out the terminal ... but again when i press " enter " one time it logs into the current user...
i have done that test on two different servers ... it worked well on rp3410 and the problem happened on rp3440
it worked well means: after the security level upgrade , the terminal unix is opened without asking for a password and when i modified the .profile .. it asked me for the password i configured or else it closes the session
is there a reason for that .. or is there any thing not clear to be able to judge the problem..
