Frederic,

Very strange... you don't have any SRPs/compartments active on this system do you?

You can check by running:

cmpt_tune

Duncan,

Strange, have you said strange?

No compartments at all!

Re: /usr/lib/hpux32/uld.so: Unable to open '/usr/lib/hpux32/dld.so'.

Hi gang,

Please note that we have just installed the latest bundles of patches ( as FEATURE11i(B.11.31.1103.361b) and QPK1131(B.11.31.1103.361) ) and the issue remains the same.

We have found out that an antique patch was installed a few days ago (PHSS_37042 released on 2007!), although this system was installed this year...

I have tried to re-install the latest linker+fdp cumulative patch, but files were already up to date, as I had expected.

No more ideas for the moment...

Re: /usr/lib/hpux32/uld.so: Unable to open '/usr/lib/hpux32/dld.so'.

Have you tried:

swverify OS-Core.CORE2-SHLIBS

and

swverify PrinterMgmt.LP2-SPOOL

to check everything we've seen here is installed correctly?

Re: /usr/lib/hpux32/uld.so: Unable to open '/usr/lib/hpux32/dld.so'.

Since you can run some 32 bit commands like ll(1) and what(1), it sees that dld.so isn't completely broken.

Do you have tusc installed so you can find the exact errno?

Re: /usr/lib/hpux32/uld.so: Unable to open '/usr/lib/hpux32/dld.so'.

We have found at last the cause of our problem.

lp* commands perform a 'su lp' before execution. And the rights on '/sbin/sh' were changed to 'rw', funny. No shell executed, no library loaded.

Nevertheless, thank you for all your answers.
