/var/sam/boot.config file on 10.20 ( yes, 10.20 ) box
Hey folks -
I have a application on a HPUX 10.20 box that is looking for a /var/sam/boot.config file. I know that this file is optional (and the server runs fine without it) but the application is expecting it, and not having it there is slowing the restart of the App.
Does anyone know of a way to create/re-create this file?
Any advice (short of upgrading to 11.11) would be appreciated.
Regards,
PJ Goodwin

On my 11i system, going into SAM > Kernel Configuration > Configurable Paramaters updates the time stamp on this file. You might try that.

Pete -
You've earned your Olympian status well. That worked perfectly and the file is now present and accounted for.
Many thanks.

Pete was right on the money.
Just looking at the sam kernel configuration as he suggested parsed the required data into the boot.config file.
