pvcreate /dev/rdsk/cxxtxdx - successfull

vgcreate vgxyz /dev/dsk/cxxtxdx - prompt not returning ?

vgdisplay -v vgxyz - showed that the new pv added in the vgxyz successfully

to confirm on the above error,

can you double confirm mentioned HW patch -> 0/1/1/0.0.0, is referring to your disk /dev/dsk/cxtxdx ..?

dd if=/dev/rdsk/cxtxdx of=/dev/null bs=256k &

value of (in & out ) should be same, if 0 than its confirm, Its Bad disk, needs to be replaced
