vgimport

# vgimport -m vgp4today.map -N -v -s /dev/vgxp4
Beginning the import process on Volume Group "/dev/vgp4".
Bad or no VGID in mapfile vgxp4today.map.

Hi,

The issue is because you were not given -s option while taking the vg backup using vgexport.

No wyou can restore this vg by the following steps.

mv /etc/lvmtab /tmp/lvmtab
vgscan -v
