Re: vmunix: /usr: write failed, file system is full
The /var/adm/syslog has an old date , not the actual date.
I think that nothing has being written to this log.

Re: vmunix: /usr: write failed, file system is full
have a look at du -k /usr.
There should be a directory, which uses most of the 5gb. Find that and look what's inside.
greetings,
Michael

Re: vmunix: /usr: write failed, file system is full
thanks for the post. It seems to me, that you accidently installed parts of your software in /usr, where it does not belong, hence the enormous usage of space.
greetings,
Michael

Re: vmunix: /usr: write failed, file system is full
Bruno,
There are 2 files in /usr, ie:
/usr/mfgpro/po/delphi/custom
/usr/mfgteste/po/delpi/custom
Together they take 2.5GB (or 40%) of /usr which is only 6.3GB large.
So check if these 2 files are really required for the application.
Johan.

Re: vmunix: /usr: write failed, file system is full
these two files are directories! ;-)
Bruno,
can you verify that it is your software?

Michael

Re: vmunix: /usr: write failed, file system is full
What do you suggest ????
I know that this directory is not appropriate for this.
Thanks

Re: vmunix: /usr: write failed, file system is full
Inside this directory it has some Database and i think this Database were used during the conversion to the new Database.
I am going to cjeck that because we no longer are using it.
Thanks

Re: vmunix: /usr: write failed, file system is full
Is this still the temporary machine?
If so, you could move one of the big directories to another place and create a logical link to that.

Re: vmunix: /usr: write failed, file system is full
How can you tell these "custom" files are directories ???
"du -k" would have listed the files with their sizes in there, if it were really a directory... %-O}
JB.
