vparstatus shows negative cpu count
Currently supporting 677 vpars. We've had many occurences (13 to be exact) where a vpar is displayed with a negative cpu count in the vparstatus cmd output (see example 1 below). The detailed output on the vpar looks ok (see example 2 below) and shows the correct amount of cpus (it does not count them like the summary in vparstatus). The vpars appear to be running fine and show the correct amount of cpus via Glance as well. The only way we have found to fix this problem with the vparstatus output is to remove the vpar in question and recreate it (technically not difficult, just a scheduling PAIN).
We are running HP-UX 11.11 (v3.05 vpars) and HP-UX 11.23 (v4.05 vpars). In some of the cases, we have a mixed (11.11 & 11.23) vpar environment. Have not been able to find a rout cause in all of these occurences. Anyone else experience this behavior? Any ideas as to the cause?
In this example, there is only 1 vpar in the group so far....
Example 1:

Re: vparstatus shows negative cpu count
This happens only on 11.11, right?
You should discuss this with HP support, they may suggest you a patch...
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.
