hi,
iam planning to do mirror for the root disk , in vpar enivronment.
at present there is no mirror for the root disk.
can you please provide me the procedure needs to follow.

What type or model of system? Itanium or PA-RISC?

In general the procedure is the same as it is for non vpar systems, but the autoboot string on the disk must point to /stand/vpmon instead of /stand/vmunix. In a superdome 2 a vPar is just like a nPar with no difference in mirroring.

SolutionYou update the vpdb with a command like this:
# vparmodify -p vpar1 -m io:2/0/3/1.0.4.1.0.0.0.0.0.0:ALTBOOT
