waiting for queue to be enabled on axis316f17.nfpc.com

Hi All,
I have a Unix server (server A) where 'printer' A pointing to 'Axis A' is working fine
I have another server (Server B) where I am trying to set up the same printer. The host file on 'server B' is the same as on 'server A'. When I send a test file from 'server B', I get an error 'waiting for queue to be enabled on axis316f17.nfpc.com'
What could be the cause of this.
Server B has Server A setup as the DNS server.
Thanks in advance for any help.

Re: waiting for queue to be enabled on axis316f17.nfpc.com

did you ever enable the queue?

is this a remote or network printer?

actual commands issued / responses when you configured it on serverB?

what is the relationship (if any) between "Axis A" and "axis316f17.nfpc.com"?

Re: waiting for queue to be enabled on axis316f17.nfpc.com

Thank you for your response.
I did enable the printer using
"enable printer_name". I get the message
----"printer "ap" was already enabled"---
I used SAM to configure the printer as a remote printer.
axis316f17.nfpc.com is the host name for the axis box in host file on both the servers.

Nothing in the log file. How do I check the queue on the axis?

Re: waiting for queue to be enabled on axis316f17.nfpc.com

When I ping the printer name 'ap' on server A, it resolves to axis316f17.nfpc.com. In the host file ap is actually associated with AXIS5F582F.nfpc.com.
How can it be? And how can the printer work on Server A...
Help please!!!!
