I have a weird problem when I want to login at the console via the GSP. Everything is in capital letters. Even the stuff I type in (note caps lock is not on!). Seems like a weird TERM problem.
I'm not on-site so I'm only able to connect to the console via the GSP (LAN). I have SSH access to the box but not root access. The root account is locked out and need to unlock it via Console.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!!
Leaving Guardian Service Processor Command
Interface and entering
Console mode. Type Ctrl-B to reactivate the GSP Command Interface.

Re: weird problem console log in problem
I guess this is comming from the terminal emulation software you run, try to reset the settings (hyperterminal etc.).
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: weird problem console log in problem
Yes and No!
I think it is the console login prompt, but normally I get "Console Login:" as prompt and not "LOGIN:". When I'm in the GSP menu everything is fine, meaning I have control over CAPS. It's only when I go to the console (CO) I get all CAPS.
Weird!

Re: weird problem console log in problem
(and if that still didn't work :
"Reset console by switch it off - press and hold the key "d" - switch on terminal by holding "d" - release "d" ten seconds after power is back - press RETURN"
)
regards.

Re: weird problem console log in problem
I'm not able to use a local terminal, only the GSP! I was able to login to the GSP and go to console mode. That's were I got the All CAPS Login prompt.
