Another option is to use kSar to graph sar data collections. Works great on HPUX and Linux.
kSar is a java application, simply download the jar file and fire it up.

Found it when I could not get anyone to buy the Glance Plus Pak for linux at $3500 a crack.

sorry for late reply but I was travelling.
1. the option -j means that glance collect stat over a period of 60 seconds if I well remmeber (sorry but I don't have access to a Unix box to check, but if I weel remeber the doc should be under perf directory)
2. correct, transfter to your pc (binary mode), import in Excel
