what is this word?

This is simple - I can't think of the word that means to "stay modified through a reboot". It's synonyms include "hardy", or "robust". It is not a computer-only word, but has a very clear meaning when used in this context.

I believe the word I'm looking for starts with "re", but after spending way too much time trying to search it out, I'm coming to the best forum for all kinds of *nix questions.

TIA!
