whats wrong with this backup session?

DLT8000 ,software: omniBack II

the backup session failed ,and i check use the omnidb cmd check the report ,following is the mistake:
[Major] From: SSEA@dbbak-lc "" Time: 04/26/03 23:56:53
[224:106] Resolving of object /dev/oradatvg06/rllv01 has failed.
(Search for backup logical volume failed.)

[Major] From: SSEA@dbbak-lc "" Time: 04/26/03 23:56:53
[224:106] Resolving of object /dev/oradatvg11/rslv07 has failed.
(Search for backup logical volume failed.)


what does the report mean ?and how can i deal with it?

btw ,i have checked the box which the session backup for,and vgdisplay -v show the box is ok

Almost sounds like the logical volume isn't mounted - what do you get when you do a:

lvdisplay /dev/oradatvg06/llvol1

looks like we have a typo :)

How about:

lvdisplay /dev/oradatvg06/lvol1

aho , didnt check the cmd ,hehe ,but the right cmd's output is the same :
#lvdisplay /dev/oradatvg06/lvol1
lvdisplay: "/dev/oradatvg06/lvol1": No such file or directory

Looks like you need to check those volume groups:

/dev/oradatvg06
/dev/oradatvg11

Also, do an ll in the /dev/oradatvg06/

Maybe we still have the wrong lvol for the lvdisplay command...

Do the:

lvdisplay /dev/oradatvg06/llv01

CONFIGURATION
Operating System - HP-UX
Version - 3.50
Product - omniback II

RESOLUTION: There are actually several reasons why this error can occur.

However in this case, when mapping the LDEVS to the appropriate rdsks, the rdsk status is not correctly updated.

This can be fixed by installing:

SSPUX350_083


Please contact you HP Support Representative to obtain this fix.


Do the:

lvdisplay /dev/oradatvg06/llv01
