where is "Performance Monitors" in SMH of 11iv3 ?

Hi,
I want to get the system properties in 11iv3, but I don't find the option. Does anybody know it or have any docs?
Thank you very much!

what exectly you want to check?
open SAM and choose performance monitor > you will get few options there
disk and terminal, system activity, system properties , virtual memoery etc...

i dont like to use sam :)

Re: where is "Performance Monitors" in SMH of 11iv3 ?

avizen9 there is no sam in 11iv3...

but your first question is valid... what information are you looking for here? All this data is gathered from elsewhere anyway... so what specifically do you need?

you'll find most of what you are looking for by just typing:

machinfo

from the command line

Hi 11bo,

If you want system information of cpu , mem ..etc
type machinfo or print_manifest

If you want to monitor performance try to use packet glance (command line) and gpm (xwindows) but only free for 30days later you have to buy.

by default to check the performance you have
tools like top , sar installed in foundation or Base OS.

Is there "System Properties" in the SMH? There are too many differents between v1 and v3 ...

Shalom,

SMH as with SAM before it are not substitutes for good systems administration. Hopefully its a learning tool that you use to learn. You need to be able to do stuff without the crutch.
